Outstanding service – highly recommended!

I hired Bobby Chung twice once in 2009 to get my original E-2 visa, and then again in 2012 to renew my E-2 visa. He did an outstanding job on both occasions, and I recommend him very highly. My background is as a CPA and ex Goldman Sachs director.

I came across Bobby because I researched quite a few lawyers who I thought might be able to help me get a visa to run my business in the US. I contacted four, but Bobby’s web site appeared to be the most informative. I cannot remember who the other three were, but all four replied, and it became obvious quite quickly that Bobby had the actual experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.

I hired Bobby to advise me on maximizing the probability of getting an E-2 business visa. However, before I hired him, we had an extensive discussion about which visa was best for me.

At the start I was quite fee conscious, but after asking around, realised that he was in line with others – not the cheapest and not the most expensive. A few months later I started to become a lot less fee conscious because I realised that certain advice could make all the difference between getting and not getting my visa, and I had a lot more at stake than simply saving a few hundred dollars on lawyer fees.

My experience of working with Bobby was a very good one. We did most things by email but a couple of times I needed urgent advice and he was available by phone. I would say that we developed a good professional relationship, although not so much a personal one. I am also in the business of dispensing expert advice to clients, and I found that he exceeded my expectations in the way that he dealt with me. Most of all, he knew what he was talking about and that is really why I would recommend him highly.

He was always prompt with his responses, although on two occasions (out of perhaps 30 or 40?) he did not acknowledge receipt of my emails and I asked if he would always do this in future. He was fine about it and it improved my faith in him.

As for the things I liked about his service, first and by far the most important was his expertise. He has been and done E-2 business visas with many other clients, and it shows. He thinks of things that you will never think of, and that is where his value is. You can see that he is applying his experience and lessons for your benefit. I thought he was a nice guy and I always enjoyed speaking to him. He was a good listener. He responded quickly. I guess that is about it.

Not really sure if I have other comments. I think I have said everything in the email above. If you are a guy to whom getting the visa is not that big a deal, then you might want to go with someone cheap. No big deal if you do not get it. I had to get my visa and therefore I wanted someone who really knew what they were doing. I found his fees very fair, and view the money I spent as a fantastic investment. Even though I came across him by searching the internet, I am really glad that I did. If you want to know more, just email me back or call me on 775 230 4266. All the best of luck getting your visa!
